My brother has been homeless for about 6 months now. He is addicted to drugs, has a history of mental health problems, and has not listened to any wise counsel from my self or from my church leadership. He usually contacts me for food or to try to sell items that he has "found", however right now we are not on speaking terms. Church leadership, and my husband have both said we shouldnt help him any more. My husband stands firm that he cannot stay with us. Any additional help given is only causing to to rely on others rather than God. However several times the bible says you must help those in need, and to not do so is a sin. I'm stuck and have not been given any peace. I continue to pray for workers to cross his path, for his heart to be changed and the mental illness and addictions be broken off of him. Please join me in prayer for him, for the hearts of those involved be changed to do what God has called for us to do.
